Recent NYPD Reunion of 83rd Precinct Policemen I worked with 40+ years ago in Brooklyn NY. I'm seated in the center, on my left knee my former partner John Murray, Septuagenarian activist.
At reunion I'm on far left next to me my other partner John Medina, known for having the "Eyes"
My other partner Louie Rupert, our Spanish speaker.
The most recent get-together, (9-21) at the American Legion Hall, in Valley Stream, L.I. (Since most of them live somewhere on the south or north shore of Long Island. This is where we outliers have to go biannually, from as far away as Idaho, Maine, Albany, and Oneonta). Ralph Kaiser seated at far left, a resident of Oneonta, gave me a lift. Center seated is Joe Esposito. Formerly a Patrolman in Precinct Anti-Crime. He rose to hold the highest uniform rank in the NYPD, Chief of the Department, which he was for eight years a record. On Joe's left, Charlie Zammit, also Anti-Crime, is now a civilian city employee with a super-secret function at Emergency Management. Last but hardly least, standing second from the left, retired Detective Frankie, " The Face" Cammarata, who has been putting the whole thing together, for the last 20-plus years, (Go, Frankie)!
The other four guys in the photo I don't know or have forgotten their names. Sorry.
